You’ve done the pub. You’ve done the pints.Now try something else — something sacred, wild and deeply connected.

Rírá Céilí | The Sacred Ruckus is a conscious, craic-filled celebration centred around ecstatic dance, woven together with cacao, art and the meeting of ancient wisdom with modern-day magic — all held in a safe, vibrant, alcohol-free space.

It’s a space where people come together to boogie, rave, twirl, shimmy and shake in whatever way feels right. There’s no choreography, no pressure, and no “right” or “wrong” way to move.

✨ The only rules:— No alcohol— No judgment— No phones

Leave your inhibitions at the door. As one dancer said: “It’s like six months of counselling in three hours.”

The aim? To let go and reconnect with your body, your breath and your being.In a world overflowing with stimulation, this is your chance to unplug, drop in, move freely, express and release.

• Sound healing to ground and integrate.

Once we begin, this becomes a monthly gathering — each night a little different, but always rooted in the same magic:

📍 Magical historic venue — The Backyard Cultural Centre, Cavan, steeped in story and soul.🌀 More than just dancing — spaces for rest, creativity, conversation and connection.🎧 Ecstatic dance powered by curated beats, blended with cultural flavours — Irish trad, South American rhythms, and beyond, featuring guest DJs and musicians from across Ireland and abroad.🎭 Themed dress-up nights — playful, expressive, and fun. (For our launch, wear whatever you like — comfort is key. Wear something you can move and sweat in — it gets hot!)

In a time when many of us are rethinking alcohol and craving deeper community, spaces like this are essential.

After giving up alcohol myself, I struggled to find night-time spaces where I could move, create, feel safe, and simply have fun — without the pressure or pretense that often comes with drinking.

That’s why I’m creating Rírá Céilí — to keep the craic, ditch the hangover and bring community together in a soulful, conscious way.

There’s something sacred about gathering in rhythm — not to escape, but to remember.To reconnect with ourselves, our culture and our community.

Inspired by the incredible events blooming in Galway, Dublin, Cork and the West — it’s time Cavan and the surrounding counties had a home for conscious connection, soulful movement and wholesome mischief.
